WGSN x Streetstyle

Beanie - Gifted
Scarf - Monki
Glasses - H&M
Bomber - Doc Martens x Alpha
Khaki bomber - Primark
2 piece - Cooperative via Urban Outfitters
Clutch - Zara
Trainers - Adidas Superstar Originals

Just sharing a few cheeky street style shots I received of me from my cute lil 'me' day in Bricklane market. So weird, I haven't been to the Sunday Bricklane market in years, and now living just up the road I thought I'd have a stroll through and well damn, it's so good! Was intending on just window shopping but c'mon, it's me, so I ended up purchasing the best metallic/silver vintage bomber for just a fiver.. yes, £5! And whilst having a rummage through I was stopped for a street style picture for the amazing fashion trendcasting website WGSN (photos by Jose-Luis) Y'all know I made a vow to wear more colour, so I'm starting off my injecting little pops here and there, hence the hat, bag and lining of my jacket tehe, I will get there!

As always stay tuned!

Colour FTW

*WARNING*
The following images may leave you with the conclusion that it's not actually everyday black, wearing colour is a thing and does actually bang..

(I do not own any of these images)

Now I'm not talking any old colour. I'm talking royal blue, postbox red, canary yellow - scary concept huh?! Don't get me wrong, I love wearing all black, but I've noticed my love is a little too much.. Fashion is not supposed to be easy, and I've come to the conclusion I mostly only wear all black because I can't be bothered to create something that bangs as much as all black does but with colour. But I've made a vow, that 2015 is all about colour! So since LFW, I have been scouring instagram for bloggers that often wear colour, or looking to friends of mine who wear colour so well for inspiration. But tbh, through my blogger stalking and inspiration seeking I've found that colour actually almost excites me just that little bit more than all black does, I feel like anyone can do all black and make it work but if you can wear colour and wear it well then damn, you got an eye for style and outfit composition. So I'm pushing myself, and I feel like I can do it, watch this space! I'm gonna have to start out with a wardrobe clear out, as most of what I have is too tempting to just wear all black errday. Plus I really want to reclaim my Thrift Queen status, what with the season for carboots coming back around, and it's the cheapest way to revamp the wardrobe without spending big bucks.

So there, I said it! I vowed to wear more colour and every single one of y'all reading are part of an accountability group to help me succeed, don't let me down! And holla if you know any bloggers or general inspiring colour wearers I can spend the next week/month/year stalking :)

Let me know if you wanna join my newly colourful world too, and as always stay tuned!

Health Goth

..and if you don't know, now you know!

So most of y'all are probs like me when I first heard the term Health Goth, just what exactly is it?! But it's basically what it says on the tin - gothic sportswear. Think black mesh, lycra, Nasir Mazhar crops, Adidas logos.. you catch my drift. So when I was approached by the amazing upcoming Pullout Magazine, started by one of my incredibly talented girlfriends, I jumped at the opportunity of getting me and my team (#GMxGB check out the hashtag on insta and see what we're all about, I dare ya!) involved for a sassy photoshoot to be featured in the first issue of the mag to be released in May 2015. I can confirm it was the most fun I've had with my girls in a long time! We travelled down with my friend and photographer Sam Travis to Epsom where we shot in my friends studio, and it was just non stop sass, my girls bang so hard ahhh! I vlogged the day to upload onto my Youtube channel when I finally get chance to edit all the footage, and just wanted to share a few cheeky sneak peak shots because they're just too fire not to!

Follow @pulloutmagazine for first updates on the mag and stay tuned for the website official launch, pending..

LFW | Day 5: Colour pop

Fur - Primark Limited Edition
Orange jumper - Zara
Turtle neck - Thrifted
Culottes - Monki
Trainers - Adidas Superstar Originals
Clutch - Monki
Sunglasses - Topshop

So I made a vow with myself to do colour this Fashion Week, and well here it is! Tbh, the way I was rushing to just leave the house in time to make it to my first show today this is genuinely a thrown together look.. I started out just wanting to be warm and comfy, hence this suuuper cosy turtle neck I snatched for just £1 at a charity shop a while back, and these Monki culottes are the silkiest, cosiest bottoms ever, but the material of them makes them look so much more expensive than they actually were! And then I had the idea to spice up my outfit a lil with this orange jumper, which I've never known what to pair it with but enjoyed the idea of just clashing everything and making it work, hence the final touch; my cheeky lil skunk/fur stole. We managed to get FR for all of our shows this last day, and even got a cheeky snap, the concentration on my face though..

Also, my flatmate was actually showcasing her Rachel Boston Jewellery range in the Designer Showrooms at Somerset house, and she loaded me up with some of her goodies for the snap below. I wore a necklace from her previous collection on Day 2 at LFW, check out that post here. But seriously you guys have to check her out, her collections are to diiiie for, and have even been worn by Rihanna herself for the cover of W magazine (check out the cheeky septum featured here)

But all in all, the highlight of today and LFW in general was most definitely the C.J Yao show at Fashion Scout. Oh. My. Life. This collection ahhhh, the execution of every single garment was to perfection, and I would literally wear everything straight off the catwalk it was incredible. The collection consisted largely of geometric structure and layering, my heart genuinely skips a beat when I look at this collection wah! (warning: a good few photos of the collection to follow, sorry not sorry)

So there you have it, LFW a/w 15 is a wraaaap. And now I can get all excited for LCM in June, yayayay. Also newsflash! For y'all who know me or have me on social media will probs know that I worked at Monki, but I have officially now left! Tbh, the main reason was that the cost of London living just wouldn't allow me to continue working there part time, but I maaay be working on some cheeky things with them in the future, but sssshhhh ;) Anywho, I'm now a sassy Receptionist at the amazing Blue Tit hair salon in Dalston *fab hand pose emoji* which is great in sooo many ways, one being that I can finally experiment a lil with my hair! I know some of y'all are chuckling to yourself like ummm what hair.. but hello, colour! So yas, keep your beautiful eyes peeled for a cheeky lil makeover and new job post coming soon!

As always stay tuned!

Head scarf - Monki
Top - Dioralop (via Lewis & Leigh PR)
Trousers - Monki
Trainers - Adidas Original Superstars
Clutch - TRF Zara

#BESTDAYEVER :) Today the weather was on my side, I got to hang out with my 2 new fave Frenchies in the world, Simon and Sacha (who happen to be the most impeccable dressed guys I know, have linked their instas!) aaand we were Front Row for the Lulu Lui show at Fashion Scout, which consisted of direction experimentation of zips with different fabrics, and use of leather and weaving techniques, through a pastel colour palette. I'm in love with these grey culottes from the collection, want! Check out the full collection video here, and see if you spot me ;)

LFW | Day 3: Neutrals

Head scarf - Zara
Stripe scarf - Monki
Shirt - Thrifted
Trousers - Lewis & Leigh PR
Boots - Primark
Coat -Thrifted

Rain rain go away! So I guess today my outfit reflected the weather, and the rain did slightly hinder my outfit choice as I was saving the debut of this bad boy bargain of a coat (£10.99 from a charity shop, can we just..!) for a later date at LFW, and had planned on rocking this double denim/pyjama look by wearing my Adidas all white Original Superstars and no coat or scarf with the look, but London weather being London weather told me to check myself, tryna be out all day without a coat.. So here it is, Day 3's neautrals. I didn't manage to get any more photos of my outfit or details, as the weather meant there weren't a lot of photographers roaming about Somerset House, but I did take photos at the Belstaff Presentation which might I add was impeccable, the layering was on one hunnid!

LFW | Day 2: Nubian Queen

Scarf - Monki
Multiple necklace - River Island
Earrings - River Island
Dress - James Hock (via Studio Collection)
Trousers - H&M
Boots - Primark
Clutch - TRF Zara

So day 2, and I told y'all I'd switch it up! Here I'm channelling my Nubian Queen vibe, as the dress is pretty oversized I thought why not go oversized errthing and do an oversized turban and pile on the jewellery, and I think it really is the jewellery that sets the whole outfit apart, I've left links to all of them above! I love the asymmetric design of this dress, and I think the construction is perfect - I'm wearing oversized without looking like a potato snack, win! I hadn't originally planned on wearing the trousers with this outfit, but I feel naked without layering (literally would have been naked with just this dress on in the current 5 degrees conditions ahhh) but when I threw them on I kinda liked how they looked with the outfit, which is basically shamelessly the process of me getting dressed everyday - nothing is planned, everything is literally thrown together. Again below I have included some images below of today's team, and how they rocked LFW day 2..

Also, just wanted to say a quick thank you to the team at Inari Eyewear for gifting me these incredible sunglasses! Don't miss out on grabbing yourself a sassy pair, and go check out their collection here.

LFW | Day 1: Return of the Black

Sunglasses - Topshop
Blazer - Primark
Turtle neck - Thrifted
Cropped Trousers - Urban Outfitters
Clutch - Monki
Trainers - Adidas Originals Superstar
Rings - Thrifed

Pauuuuse, and let's have a moment for this The White Pepper jacket! Ahhh, I have been lusting after the ACNE original for the longest time, so when I had the chance to bang this copycat out for LFW how could I not?! And ofcourse this wouldn't be a Char outfit if it didn't involve layering, I swear it's the core of my outfit composition - if it's not layered it's too basic (forgive my fear of being basic mentality, you guys can't tell me I'm the only one though!). I had a few cheeky outfits lined up for LFW as I'm due to attend all 5days, but the team suggested we bang out all black on Day 1 and hey I'm definitely not shy of all black. I have infact been trying to step out of it approaching spring, as with the dismal weather I've become so accustomed to the 'it's cold and I can't be bothered to think too much about what I'm wearing but really don't wanna be cold.. ah screw it all black bangs' mentality. So I got the all black out of my system for Day 1 and voila, here it is. So I've made a pact with myself to really show my diversity in personal style throughout the next 4 days of LFW, keep your eyes peeled for some sassy stuff! Until then, here's how me and my girls do all black errthing, and do it damn well if I do say so myself! My girl Eva (first girl pictured below) is actually an incredible fashion photographer, check her out here.
